PARTY!
Awesome party that had provocative posters, the night before we went to Estonia. Some felt better than others the next day.

Most Serene Republic in Brooklyn!
I was just explaining to Kirk how out of all the bands I have never seen live that the Most Serene Republic is by far my favorite. So I decided to see what they are up to and I found out that they are going to do two shows in New York this summer! I cannot wait to see them. I have heard them put on an amazing show.
Here is some of their tunes. They are so fun with their beats and many instruments but can also be very emotional with their guitar and piano synths, very architectural. (whatever that means)

Stay Up's Phages (2006)

Stockholm: 2
I went to one of the most powerful places I've ever been. The Skogskyrkogården (good luck pronouncing it) is an easy metro ride south of the city. It's a wooded cemetery with an amazing landscape. Ive never been in a place that felt so content and peaceful. The trees, graves and landscape are all intermingled and creates a powerful feeling of unity.
The other place that was quite impressive was the Vasa Museum. The Vasa was this glorius ship built by the Swedish Kingdom and set off on its maiden voyage in 1626. It's maiden voyage lasted about half an hour before it tipped over and sank. Luckily for us it sat completely preserved at the bottom of the freshwater river for 333 years before archaeologists had the tools to bring it up. The museum was pretty impressive.
sorry dude

Stockholm: Put it on your list
Hey folks. Now its time to chime in on Stockholm. We ventured there last weekend for 2 days as a class and had an awesome time exploring. I kind of detached myself from the group for a bit so I mostly got first acquainted with Stockholm by myself. Here is a list of why it is an "awesome" city.
-People.
The people are friendly and have awesome style. I guess we were lucky cause the weather was amazing on saturday. But everyone was outside sitting in the sun, drinking beers and just chilling. Everyone was content, and was happy to see others. Not to mention the bikers and ladies on bikes that were everywhere.
- History.
It was refreshing to get to a city with a Medieval core and range of significant pieces of architecture that span generations. And the best part is that all these styles and buildings are not just distinctions but rather woven into the whole of the city. The old and new coordinate harmoniously.
- Geography/Neighborhoods.
I put these together because they both come about because of eachother. Stockholm has rivers, islands, hills, bays, more islands, and it creates this unique set up for boulevards neighborhoods, parks, squares, harbours and so on. There is a neighborhood in Stockholm for everyone. And the diverse geography makes for few bad places to live. It seems like every building is a short walk to an awesome park or square or nature.
I did mention the awesome people right?

SB - Recap #3
Stockholm was awesome... but lets not get to that yet.
Here is more of Le France:
Marseille
Unite d'Habitation
Sunset from the Unite
Jimbo (I had always wanted to see this building)
Market
Notre Dame de La Garde
View from Notre Dame
Gare (Trainstation)
Through the Valley and on the coast to Nice we go
Train Ride.... man it was awesome
I hate to say this again but I really do have so many photo's. Its probably not such a good idea to recapture my life at such frequent intervals. But if anyone wants photo's I'd be glad to share. The ones here are re-sized, so they are easier to load to the web. I have these and many others at much higher quality. Just send me an email.

SB - Recap #2
Before I cruise off to Stockholm for a school excursion here is a more detailed post of the last one....
I have to say this: I have a shit load of photo's. I took over 600 photo's so it's hard for me to pick and choose what is good enough to show. So I will try to put up as much as possible.
France was great. I mainly went to two different cities (Marseille and Nice) and a couple of other villages. Every place was different and wonderful. I could talk all day about the experiences and what it felt like for me to be there but I'd rather get to the photos. So in short Marseille and Nice are two completely different cities and I was really glad to see the contrast.
Here is the first two days in France chronologically
